What issues should be noted when using a disposable semen delivery device

      Disposable semen delivery device is a sterile and disposable medical instrument mainly used for clinical operations such as artificial insemination in assisted reproductive technology. It must be strictly used by professional medical staff in accordance with the operating specifications and product instructions. Attention should be paid to the following matters throughout the entire use process:
1、 Precautions before use
1. Check the packaging and expiration date
      Before use, it is necessary to check whether the outer packaging is intact, free of damage, moisture, pollution, and air leakage. Any damaged packaging shall not be used.
Carefully check the sterilization expiration date and strictly prohibit the use of expired products.
2. Confirm product specifications and scope of application
      Confirm that the product model and specifications meet the clinical operational requirements and are only used for designated purposes such as semen delivery and artificial insemination. It should not be used for other drug infusion, flushing, or injection.
3. Requirements for aseptic operation
      The operating environment should meet the requirements of sterile diagnosis and treatment. Operators should maintain good hand hygiene, wear sterile gloves, and keep the equipment in a sterile state throughout the process to avoid contamination.
4. Prohibition of repeated use
      This product is disposable and is strictly prohibited from being sterilized or reused to prevent cross infection.
2、 Precautions during use
1. Gently operate to avoid damage
      The insertion process should be gentle, slow, and in the direction of the natural cavity. Violent insertion and forced advancement are prohibited to avoid mechanical injury or damage to tissues such as the cervix and uterine cavity.
2. Prevent pollution
      During the operation, do not touch any non sterile areas to avoid key parts such as the front end and joints of the catheter being touched by hands or non sterile items.
3. Control the conveying speed and pressure
      Semen transportation should be slow and uniform, avoiding excessive speed and pressure that may cause discomfort to patients or affect sperm activity and fertilization efficiency.
4. Observe patient reactions
      During the operation, closely observe the patient for any discomfort such as pain, bleeding, dizziness, nausea, etc. If any abnormalities occur, the operation should be stopped immediately and handled properly.
5. Strictly prohibited for use in abnormal situations
      Patients with acute inflammation of the reproductive tract, active bleeding, severe cervical stenosis, malformation, or other contraindications should not use it.
3、 Precautions after use
1. Timely and standardized disposal
      After use, it should be immediately classified and disposed of according to the regulations for medical waste management. It is not allowed to dispose of it at will and it should not be reused.
2. Record and verify
      Record the operation time, product information, operation process, and patient situation as required to ensure traceability.
3. Prohibition of secondary use
      Even if the appearance of the product is undamaged after use, it is strictly prohibited to clean and sterilize it before reuse to eliminate the risk of cross infection.
